Proposal to issue directions under NGET’s licence to award additional funding and to add a new Re-opener application window

The RIIO-2 Non-operational IT Capex Re-opener allows for adjustments to National Grid Electricity Transmission Plc’s (NGET) Non-operational Information Technology Capex allowance. Between April 2021 and March 2022 we received three applications from NGET for additional allowances via this Re-opener mechanism. Having decided on the efficient level of allowances to award, we are now proposing the direction to formally adjust NGET’s RIIO-2 allowances.
We are also proposing to direct an additional period in which NGET can apply to amend its allowances for a related project.
