This document is Ofgem’s response to the Consultation on the removal of scheme cost exemptions for green imported electricity and the recognition of EU Guarantees of Origin. The consultation was published by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy on 29th March 2022 and details proposed changes to the green imported electricity exemption under both CfD & FIT as well as ceasing recognition of EU GoOs.

Our response outlines our understanding of the effect of the proposed changes and contributes to the discussion on potential outcomes.
