Statutory consultation - Pension scheme arrangements for National Grid employees transferring to the Future System Operator

Share the page

This is the statutory consultation for licence changes following the Call for Input on pension arrangements. As part of the process of the creation of the National Energy System Operator (NESO, formerly the Future System Operator or FSO) under public ownership, there will need to be arrangements for the pensions of some ESO employees who are transferring over to the NESO. Following Department for Energy Security and Net Zero engagement with National Grid, Ofgem is consulting on amending the National Grid Electricity Transmission licence conditions to allocate the costs of the pension scheme between National Grid and the NESO in a way that would preserve neutrality for consumers and National Grid.
