This document contains our decision on the Electricity (Early-Model Competitive Tenders for Onshore Transmission Licences) Regulations 2025 (“Tender Regulations”) that will provide the legislative framework for future onshore transmission tender exercises.
This follows our consultation on the Tender Regulations which opened on 20 September 2024 and closed on 2 November 2024. Following careful consideration of the responses received by us, we have finalised the regulations.
The regulations have now been approved by the government and are available on the legislation website.
