We are consulting on how Ofgem can support the accelerated delivery of strategic electricity transmission network upgrades needed to meet the Government's 2030 renewable electricity generation ambitions.
This consultation includes our proposals to streamline the current regulatory approval process for large electricity transmission projects as well as proposed measures to protect consumers against additional risks that changing the process brings.
We would like views on the proposals in this document from people with an interest in the development of the electricity transmission network and in Net Zero.
