In our decision published on 6 October 2023 to modify the special conditions of the electricity transmission licence held by National Grid Electricity Transmission Plc, we have set out draft principles for the Opex Escalator (OE) Review Mechanism. We are now consulting on our draft proposals for the design, calibration and operation of this mechanism. This consultation is the first step towards introducing the OE Review Mechanism and covers the general principles, the qualifying criteria, the proposed review mechanism, the evidence and reporting requirements.
