The National Energy System Operator (NESO) was set up on 1 October 2024.
The Department of Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) have issued this Advice Process Document to the licensee, NESO.
About this guidance
This guidance sets out how to coordinate requests for advice, analysis or information. It also gives clarity on the role and expectations of NESO in managing these requests.
DESNZ will issue requests on behalf of Ministers of the Crown to NESO. Ofgem will also issue requests on behalf of the Gas and Electricity Markets Authority (GEMA) to NESO.
