Direction to National Grid's electricity transmission licence for new Enhancing Pre-existing Infrastructure Project and allowances

In May 2023, we published our decision to approve an EPI in the Snowdonia National Park for National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET). Alongside our decision, we also published a draft direction to amend NGET's RIIO-2 licence for this decision. We are now issuing the direction to formally adjust NGET’s RIIO-2 allowances. Enhancing Pre-existing Infrastructure Project (EPI) projects can be added to NGET’s RIIO-2 licence under special condition 3.10.15 of the electricity transmission licence.
