Public consultation and engagement in infrastructure build: a letter to NESO and transmission owners

Ofgem’s Director General Akshay Kaul has written to the CEOs of NESO and the three Transmission Operators (TOs) – National Grid, SSE and Scottish Power about the importance of stakeholder and community engagement in shaping the optimal energy system for all current and future consumers. This letter highlights our position on the matter and expresses our commitment to provide a regulatory framework that supports project designs and network solutions that are in the consumers’ best interest, finding the balance between present and future needs.
