Energy Code Governance Reform

Share the page

This call for input follows the government response on Energy Code Reform published in April 2022. We are seeking initial views from all interested stakeholders on potential code consolidation as part of Ofgem’s approach to implementing the reforms. We also seek views on the content of the code manager licence conditions, and the role of stakeholders in the new governance framework.

Alongside the call for input we have published an independent report on potential code consolidation options prepared by Cornwall Insight in April 2022. This report was commissioned by Ofgem to assess a range of high-level options for code consolidation which are discussed further in the call for input.

We have also published a response template to assist stakeholders in submitting a response. It would be helpful if stakeholders could use this template for submitting a response if possible. The call for input closes on 1 February 2023 and responses should be submitted to industrycodes@ofgem.gov.uk.
