This Statutory Consultation outlines our minded-to position on a number of outstanding Capacity Market policy areas from the First Policy Consultation of April 2019 and subsequent consultations in July 2020 and May 2021. The policy areas we are consulting on in this Statutory Consultation are: Evergreen Prequalification, amendments to the Capacity Market Register and Capacity Market Applicant Notifications.
In addition, this consultation invites stakeholder views on our proposed amendments to the Capacity Market Rules 2014 (as amended) (“the Rules”) to facilitate our minded-to policy position for each respective area.
Alongside the consultation document, we have published a draft copy of the Rules showing our proposed changes (Annex A).
The deadline for responding to this consultation has been extended to 5pm on 14 January 2022.
