In March 2024, we published our decision to fund projects proposed by National Gas Transmission (NGT) to manage and reduce methane emissions from the Network Transmission System (NTS). The decision was made under the Net Zero Pre-Construction and Small Projects re-opener. Alongside our decision, we also published a draft direction to amend NGT's RIIO-2 licence to implement this decision. We are now issuing the direction to formally adjust NGT’s RIIO-2 allowances. The allowance can be added to NGT’s RIIO-2 licence under special condition 3.9 of the gas transporter licence.
