We are investigating whether BES Commercial Electricity Ltd and Business Energy Solutions Ltd (together BES) are taking all reasonable steps to ensure the terms of their Deemed Contracts are not unduly onerous.
Enforcement description
We opened this investigation on 25 September 2023.
In August 2024, BES rebranded their energy supply companies to Ruby Electricity Ltd and Ruby Gas Ltd (together Ruby).
Ruby are a UK based non-domestic utilities supplier based in Lancashire.
On 23 September 2025, we expanded the scope of the investigation to include SLC 0A, which relates to treating non-domestic customers fairly.
Neither the opening nor expansion of this investigation implies that we have made any findings about Ruby.
