Bulb Energy customers: your questions answered

Share the page

When a supplier ceases trading, the Ofgem safety net ensures that your supply is not disrupted.

Energy supplier Bulb Energy Ltd has announced it is insolvent. A Special Administrator has been appointed to run Bulb, which will continue to supply energy to its customers as normal.

As a customer of Bulb you do not need to do anything. You will continue to receive energy and be billed by Bulb as normal. Your credit balance is protected and your tariff and price plan will not change.

This guide will answer some of your questions on what happens now.

Your supply

Bulb is still your supplier. Your supply will not be disrupted, and you will continue to be billed as normal – do not cancel your direct debit if you have one.

Bulb will contact all customers to explain in more detail what happens next. Further information is also available on Bulb’s website.

Your contract

You will remain on the contract you have now with the same terms and conditions.
