Details of Outcome

Ofgem has directed that Modification CCS001 be implemented. The change will allow Users to vent CO2 between the Delivery Point and the Metering Point.

Start Date

6 November 2025

Code Modification Description

The modification was raised by Protos ERF CCS Ltd on 30 June 2025.

The modification permits Users to vent CO2 between the Metering Point and Delivery Point where one is not immediately downstream from the other. This will enable Users to comply with the Isolation Procedures, outlined in Annexure H, that require a User to be disconnected from the T&S Network upon the detection of Non-Compliant CO2 at the Metering Point. Reconnection may require the Non-Compliant CO2 to be removed so that it does not continue into the T&S Network upon reconnection and damage the pipelines. Venting may also be permitted for maintenance purposes.

This modification will protect the integrity of the T&S Networks and ensure efficient and prudent operation by facilitating reconnection and maintenance.
